Official Contest Rules

Eligibility

The Back-to-School Coloring Contest is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older.

Children are welcome (and encouraged!) to participate in the coloring activity, but all contest entries for participants under 18 must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian on the child's behalf.

One entry per person.

Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of the contest sponsor are not eligible to win.

Contest Period

The contest begins on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 8:00AM CST and ends on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 11:59pm CST.

Entries received after the deadline will not be eligible.

Entry Requirements

Entries must use a coloring page provided as part of the official Back-to-School Coloring Pack.

Participants are encouraged to be creative! Entries may be completed using crayons, colored pencils, markers, paint, or other traditional coloring materials.

Entries must be submitted through the official contest entry form and include the requested contact information.

Entries containing inappropriate, offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise unsuitable content may be disqualified at the sponsor's discretion.

Winner Selection

One eligible entry will be selected at random from all qualifying entries received during the contest period.

Creativity and artistic ability do not determine the winner. The purpose of the contest is to have fun, enjoy some creative time, and celebrate a fresh start to the school year.

The potential winner will be contacted using the email address and/or contact information provided with the entry. If the selected winner cannot be reached or does not respond within 7 days of the winner announcement, another winner may be selected.

Prize

One winner will receive a $50 Back-to-School Walmart Gift Card.

The prize has an approximate retail value of $50 USD and may not be exchanged for cash. No substitution or transfer of the prize is permitted except at the sponsor's discretion.

Artwork & Photo Permission

By submitting an entry, the adult entrant confirms that they created the submitted artwork or are the parent/legal guardian authorized to submit the artwork on behalf of the participating child.

Entrants retain ownership of their completed artwork.

By entering, you grant Anitra Jay permission to display, reproduce, and share the submitted coloring-page image for purposes related to the contest, including announcing the winner and sharing entries on Anitra Jay's website, email communications, and social media channels.

Submitting a coloring page does not grant permission to publish a child's photograph, full name, school, or other identifying information. Any use of a child's photograph or identifying information would require separate permission from the parent or legal guardian.

I especially recommend keeping that distinction. It lets you showcase the adorable artwork without inadvertently creating a blanket photo release for children.

Privacy

Contact information collected through the contest entry form will be used to administer the contest, contact the winner, and send communications the entrant has separately agreed to receive.

By entering, you'll also join the Anitra Jay email community, where you'll receive music, encouragement, creative resources, special offers, and occasional updates. You can unsubscribe anytime.

Communications

By submitting an entry, entrants agree to receive contest-related communications from Anitra Jay, including notification regarding the contest and prize.

Entrants will also be added to the Anitra Jay email community and may receive occasional emails featuring music, encouragement, creative resources, special offers, and updates. Recipients may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link provided in each email.

Personal information will not be sold in connection with this contest.

General Conditions

By participating, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the contest sponsor.

The sponsor reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not comply with these rules or that appear fraudulent, manipulated, duplicated, or otherwise inappropriate.

The sponsor also reserves the right to modify, suspend, postpone, or cancel the contest if circumstances outside its reasonable control prevent the contest from being conducted as intended.

The sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, corrupted, misdirected, or technically unsuccessful submissions.
